Farmers Market Plan Approved by Township Board

At the March 1 Bath Township Board meeting, the board approved a plan submitted by the Farmers Market Task Force to create a market at Couzens Park beginning Thursday, July 15.  The market will be open from 3-7 p.m. every Thursday throughout the year and will move to the Bath Township Community Center from November through April.  The market will mainly offer fresh, locally grown produce and will become a community gathering place.

Farmers Market Board

The Bath Farmers Market Board is responsible for:

• Creating market policies

• Working with the Bath Township Superintendent to hire and manage the market manager

• Managing market finances

• Hearing appeals from vendors with grievances not satisfied by the market manager

• Market promotion

• Fundraising and grant writing

• Submitting meeting minutes to the Bath Township Board of Trustees.
